Manuel Carrillo

December 29, 2018--Manuel Carrillo journeyed to the afterlife surrounded by family in Kaufman Texas. He was 96 years old. Manuel was born on August 12, 1922 in Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to Elias Carrillo and Juliana Ojeda Carrillo. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria de Jesus Carrillo, his daughter Liliana Carrillo, and his many siblings. He is survived by Felix Carrillo y familia, Eleazar Carrillo y familia, Juanita Guerrero y familia, Guadalupe Carrillo y familia, Manuel Carrillo y familia, Calixtro Carrillo y familia, Ramiro Carrillo y familia, Arturo Carrillo, and Jesus Carrillo y familia. He constantly remade himself to fit larger dreams. Manuel at 25 years old set on an odyssey, crossing a border with no destination, in which his achievements served as the paving stones for the next generation’s journey. We can look at ourselves and think of the distance this man has brought us.
