Alice Cox, 93, was called to her eternal resting place on August 29, 2018. She was born on April 11, 1925 to William and Mary Bednar in Kemp, TX. Alice was raised in the Kemp and Mabank area. She attended Scurry-Rosser Schools. She married Joe Cox in February of 1946 in Kaufman, Texas at the First United Methodist Church. Alice lived most of her life in Kaufman working for the Kaufman School District in the cafeteria for 17 years. In 1977 she went to work for Presbyterian Hospital as the Kitchen Manager. Alice was a member of the Kaufman Church of Christ. She had many hobbies a few being quilting and sewing. Alice is survived by her husband Joe Cox, Sons: Larry Cox and wife Teresa of Kaufman, Daughters: Sharon Vance and husband Johnny of Terrell, Sandra Hevener and husband Forrest of Kaufman, Sister: Albina Johnson of Kaufman, Grandchildren: Casey Vance, Julie Vance, Maurie Melton, Megan Cox, Meredith Mickelson, Madalyn Dominguez, Dustin Hevener, Justin Meyers, Alicia Bingham, Great Grandchildren: Max, Charli Jo, Emma, Ava, Eleanor, Henry and Rylie, numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
