Lester Franklin Butler III also known to those who loved him as "Les", "LF", "Butler", "Butch", "Daddy", and "Papa" passed away in Kaufman, Texas on June 18, 2018. Lester was born on July 13, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Lester and June Butler. His family roots go back to the 1920's with racing. He carried on this tradition with the Les Butler #4 Racing Team and living his dream. Les was quite the jokester always making people laugh. His laugh was infectious. Les was quite the storyteller which no one ever grew tired of hearing them even if they had already heard them before. He was kind, gentle, loving, and generous to a fault.
Les is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Patty, Daughters: Amy Mollenhour and spouse Sgt. Kevin Mollenhour, Sara Franca and spouse Thiago, Grandsons: Blake, Kaleb, Logan, Corbin, Anthony, and Liane, Sister: Cheryl Stephens and brother-in-law Tom, Niece: Christy Bragg and spouse Kory, Great-Nieces: Landry and Kynlee, Nephew: Officer Brian Stephens, his diva dog "Cookie", Uncle Larry and Susan Phillips, Special friends of 60 plus years, Louann and Mark DeArment, Kay Bingham, June Robinson known to all of us as "Mom" , his race team of Austin Mundie, Angela and Ronnie Long, Wally and Stephanie Beaty and their children Addyson and Wyatt, Walter, and Lisa Beaty, Larry and Donellas long, Brandon Leopoles, Coach, Ken Murphree, Jerry Murphree, Blake Jay, Bryne McCullough, Close Friends Randy Darnell and Chuy.
To the love of my life, no one can ever fill your shoes, my heart is broken and I love you Les - Patty.
