Mary Katherine Cates Burns

Mary Katherine Cates Burns, 66, of Terrrell, TX passed away on April 18, 2018 where she was surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on November 13, 1951 to Albert and Marie Cates in Dallas, TX. She lived her whole life in the Kaufman area and worked as a customer service representative for over 30 years and a member of a baptist church. Mary was a "Mother Hen" caring for her family and friends. She loved the time she got to spend with her kids and grandkids. Mary would spend her free  time going out dancing and listening to country music. Her parents preceded her in passing away. Those left to cherish her memory include: daughter Deniese Cates of Terrell, TX, son Steve Kovar and wife Jill, grandchildren: Kaleigh Cates, Gracen Kovar, Kasey Cates and Ryan Kovar, great grandchildren Harper Cates and Kyler Cates, brothers Marvin Cates Sr. of Scurry, TX and Charles Cates of Missouri, TX, sisters Charlene Illingworth of Dublin, TX and Linda Loper of Terrell, TX, and numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
