Robert Martin Repka Sr.

Longtime Kaufman resident and business owner Robert Martin Repka, Sr., 93, passed away on February 16, 2018 in Dallas, TX. He was born to Joseph Martin and Anna Repka on January 24, 1925 in George West, TX. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 75 years and was a very devout Catholic and a member St. John Catholic Church in Terrell . Robert moved to Terrell in 1964 from Three Rivers and was a blacksmith. Then he moved to Kaufman in 1965 and opened his own welding shop in 1968. He enjoyed to have his family, who he loved very much, and friends over to tell stories and barbecue. Those who preceded him in death are his parents, his wife, of 57 years, Billie Jean, son Burl Thad Repka and daughter Martha Coker and 3 great grandchildren: Justin Murray, Emma Davidson and Christian Lambright and 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Those left to cherish his memory are daughters: Linda Towns and husband Wayne, Joan Martin and Lorna Gill; son Robert Martin Repka, Jr. and wife Lyn, 16 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
