Clark Cochran, 93, was called to his eternal resting place on August 29, 2017 in Kaufman, Texas. He entered this world on February 26, 1924 in Kaufman, TX, born to Clark and Bertha Cochran. He married Ruby Janice Pool on June 14, 1946 in Kaufman at the First Baptist Church. Clark proudly served in United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater earning a Purple Heart while in Okinawa, Japan. After the military Clark returned to his hometown of Kaufman where he was born and raised and opened Pool Furniture Company in 1941. The furniture company stayed in business on the square in Kaufman for 50 years before closing in 1989. Clark was an active member of the community serving as Deacon at the First Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church both of Kaufman, The Kaufman Chamber of Commerce, and a member of The Lions Club. He also enjoyed his time spent as a Lions Booster Club member. He is an honored member of the Kaufman Lions sports Hall of Fame. Clark is survived by his Son Clark (Bubba) Cochran, jr. and his wife Becky of Kaufman, Daughters: Judith Ann Cochran of Dallas, Linda Kay Stephens and husband Phil of Dallas, Grandchildren: Judd Cochran, Calie England, Heather Luft, Derek Stephens, and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
