Harry Serna

Harry Serna, 76, of Kaufman, TX passed away on August 22, 2017. He was born to Francisco and Amelia Serna on October 3, 1940 in Poth, TX. Harry lived in Kaufman and Forney since 1958. He was a single parent at an early age and his kids ages ranged from 2 to 10 years old. Harry was a hard worker and was employed with Mesquite ISD in the maintenance department for 25 years where he retired. His passion was working as a Cattle rancher and farmer. Harry spent time horse back riding and would go trail riding with a group of his friends. He also Team Penned. Harry was a loving Father, Grandfather and Brother. Those left to cherish his memory are his Daughters: Sharon Butler and husband Ronnie of Kaufman, TX; Ramona Norris and husband Gerry of Forney, TX; and Patricia Smith of Forney, TX; Son Harry T. Serna and wife Marcie of Kaufman, TX; Grandchildren: Joseph Butler, Chandler Norris, Carrigan "Freddie" Norris and James Smith. Step grandchildren Kelsey Shortnacy and Caleb Yates. Brothers: Victor Serna and wife Olga of Karnes City, TX; Henry Serna and wife Mary of Poth, TX, Ray Serna of Floresville, TX; Sisters: Elvia T. Serna of Poth, TX and Leonarda Aguirre of Karnes, TX; He also had another brother Frank Jr. Serna who passed away years ago. Also numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews along with more extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
