Juanita Beatrice Asberry, 97, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2017. She was born to Frank and Julia Bickly on February 5, 1920 in Hillsboro, TX. Juanita married Melton Asberry, who preceded her in death in 1991, on August 4, 1934 and the moved to the Kaufman area in 1935 where she has been ever since. For most of her life she took care of the family and helped on the family farm with the animals and the gardens. She also was a volunteer manager for the Kaufman Church of Christ benevolence Center. Juanita was known for almost 10 years as grandma to the kids at Sonshine School. She also loved going on the Seniors trips with her church friends. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 4 brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are: Sons David Asberry of Harrison AR and Melvin Asberry and wife Ann of Farmersville, TX; daughters Monica Robinson and husband Don of Athens, TX and Julia Clark and husband Larry of Kaufman, TX; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers the family has asked donations be made to the Sonshine School.
