Julia Romero Calhoun

Julia Candelaria Romero Calhoun, 81, passed away on July 3, 2017 at her home in Kaufman, TX.  Julia was born to Jose and Maria Romero on March 12, 1936 in Elemndorf, TX.  She has lived in Kaufman for 60 years.  Julia was a caregiver for her family.  She took care of many of her family when they had gotten sick or needed help.  She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley William Calhoun, her parents, brother John Romero, Sisters Lupe Romero and Janie Romero.  Those left to cherish her memory are: Son Reynaldo Tijerina and wife Priscilla of Kaufman, TX; step-children Tony Ray Calhoun of Kaufman, TX, Luella Shehee and husband Henry of Kaufman, TX and Ruby Saladino and husband Gary of Crandall, TX; brothers Jesse Romero of Kaufman, TX and Joe Romero of Kaufman, TX; sisters Mary Sipriano of Kaufman, TX and Sarah Torres of Dallas, TX; grandchildren Ashley Aranda, Steven Tijerina, Taylor Tijerina, Crystal Rychlik, Austin Rychlik and Jonathan Rychlik; great grandchildren Olivia Aranda, Ary Nelson and Penelope Luthin; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends who will all miss her dearly.
