Billy James Waits

Billy (Bill) James Waits, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Walnut Hill Medical Center in Dallas. He was born September 30th, 1934, in Bonham, Texas to Cagle and Lois Waits (later Lois Harrison). Bill joined the Navy at age 17 and later went on to run a successful construction and leasing business. Bill managed to find adventures all throughout his life and loved to share his exploits in fishing, hunting, traveling, and practicing photography with his many friends and family. Bill hosted large gatherings on his farm later in life, and loved to see everyone having a good time together around his table. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, LaFawn, and his sons, Don (Tricia) Waits of Garland, TX, and Robert (Cheryl) Williams of Royce City, TX; 6 grandchildren, Ryan (Caitlin) Waits, Reed Waits, Ross Waits, Jaime Williams, Kristopher Goczoll and many cousins, friends, and relations.
