Elizabeth Barton Luckett

Elizabeth Barton Luckett, 90, of Kaufman, TX passed away at home on June 27, 2016. Elizabeth was born on August 21, 1925 to Earnest Roy and Pearl Leonard Barton in Fort Worth, TX.  She was raised in Ft. Worth and attended Baylor before graduating from TCU. Elizabeth taught 5 years in the Ft. Worth School District.  She moved to Kaufman in 1995 and became a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Kaufman.  Elizabeth married Joseph W. Luckett on October 3rd, 1959 in Fort Worth, TX.  Those left to cherish her memory are:  her husband; sons Michael Luckett of Pittsburg, PA and Joseph W. Luckett III and wife Kumiko of Japan; daughters Deborah Brittenham of Diamond Bar, CA, Kathy Thompson and husband Greg of Anchorage, AK, Margaret Cochran and husband Van of Upland, CA and Amy Cox and husband Chris of Kaufman, TX; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
