Bobbie Faye (Smith) Perkins, 92, of Kaufman, TX passed away June 19, 2016 surrounded by family. She was born on July 1, 1923 to William Robert and Nettie Mae Smith in Bristol, TX. Bobbie married Archie Perkins on May 20, 1939 in Eustace, TX. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Terrace Baptist Church in Dallas, TX before she started going to Little Hope Baptist Church in Canton, TX. Bobbie was a long time employee of Collins Radio and she and her husband also owned and operated Arnold’s Barbecue in Crandall and Glenn Oaks Estate of Cedar Creek Lake. Those who have preceded her in death are: her husband, her parents, brother William Loyal Smith and sisters: Katherine Green , Christine Hughes and Jo Anne Smith. Those left to cherish her memory are: son Roy Wayne Perkins of Kaufman, TX, daughter Helen Laverne Yates and husband Bob of Richardson, TX, and grandchildren: Kevin Wayne Perkins of Canton, TX, Gregory Lynn Perkins of Kaufman, TX, Clinton Todd Perkins of Quitman, TX and Bryan Harley Yates of Fate, TX; sister; Doris Chester of Farmers Branch, TX, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
