ROBERT LEE RICE JR.

Robert Lee Rice Jr. was born in Kaufman, Texas on May 22, 1949 to Robert Lee Rice Sr., and Patsy Clark Rice. 

Bob passed away at his home in Kaufman on January 16, 2016. Born and raised in Kaufman, he graduated from Kaufman High School in 1967.  Bob began working for Falcon Steel in Kaufman in 1971 where he worked for forty-four years and was Vice President of Galvanizing Sales. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kaufman.

Bob loved his grandkids, his family, playing golf, and fishing.  He was married to the love of his life, Becky Lynn Smelker for 45 years.He is preceded in death by his daughter, Christa Paige Rice, his sister Becky Rice, and his parents. Bob is survived by his wife, Becky, of Kaufman. His children are Brooke Walls and her husband Mark of Austin and Stacy Putnam and her husband Kevin of Austin.His sister is Deby Miller of Kaufman and his brother is Mike Rice of Lewisville. His grandchildren are Jagger Putnam, Deacon Putnam, Cree Walls, and the twins, Kiersten and Britlyn Walls. There are also many nieces, nephews, and countless relatives and friends. He had an infectious personality and genuine heart.In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be sent to:The Ola Church of Christ ,9720 E.
