Ernest Wayne Cook
Ernest Wayne Cook was born on July 13, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Samuel and Mary Ellen Cook. Wayne passed away at his home in Kaufman, Texas on December 22, 2015. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas in 1967. Wayne married Nancy Carol Cook on October 15, 1988 in Kaufman, Texas. Their love lasted for twenty-seven years. Wayne was a loving and caring man that was often thought of as the “life of the party”. Wayne proudly served in the United States Navy as a gunner’s mate Petty Officer 3rd Class during the Vietnam War. After returning from service he was employed at the City of Dallas in the waste water department where he later retired after 24 years. Wayne had a multitude of friends that he had met through the years. He and Nancy loved to travel and visited quite a number of places. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Nancy Carol ( Nolan ) Cook of Kaufman, Texas, Son: Jason Wayne Cook and his wife Bridget of Mabank, Texas, God-children: Paris Grice Bone and husband Steven of Atlanta, Georgia, Marshall Braden Grice of Houston, Texas, Sisters: Janice Cook McLachlan and husband Tom of Tracy, California, Vicky Diane Cook of Pleasanton, California, Nieces: Andrea Holt, Kelli Holt and Colleen Holt, Nephews: David Hill and Cody Hill, Grandchildren: Justin Wayne Cook and Lane Micheal Cook, Half-Sister Sara Livingston, Half-Brother Matt Carol Travel Partners: Carol and Paul Bischoff.
