MYRTLE "POLLY" EVANS Myrtle Polly Evans was born in the Becker Community on May 23, 1925 to Rosser Vernon Hardin and Wilie Tom Baldree. Polly passed away in an Athens, Texas nursing center on April 27, 2015. She was raised in the Jiba Community and lived ten years in Illinois and then to Waco for four years before moveing to Kaufman in 1965. Polly worked for the Department of Human Resources for twenty-six years before retiring in 1987. Polly was a member of the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather W. D. Werner. Polly was also preceded in death by her brothers Roy Lee Hardin, James Elton Hardin, Rosser Vernon Hardin, Ernest Eugene Hardin and Joseph Allen Hardin and five stepbrothers and a stepsister. Polly is survived by her son: Coy Wayne Evans and his wife Darlene of Scurry, daughter: Paula Evans Warren and her husband Mike of Athens, grandchildren: Coy Glenn Evans, Micha Clark, Renee Evans Romero and Rusty Evans, ten great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
