Walter Evans Woodruff

WALTER EVANS WOODRUFF Walter Evans Woodruff was born in Dallas, Texas on December 21, 1935 to Alfred Hix Woodruff and Lucy Clemith Wade. Walter passed away in a Kaufman, Texas hospital on December 30, 2014. Walter was raised in Kleberg, Texas where he was a former mayor. He lived in Kleburg for twenty-five years and later moved to Scurry, Texas in 1991. Walter worked for Brandt Engineering for seventeen years and retired in 1989. Walter was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Grays Prairie Missionary Baptist Church. On December 26, 1953 Walter married Vivian Ruth Boone in Dallas, Texas. Walter was preceded in death by a son-in-law Billy Bell. Walter is survived by his wife: Vivian, son: Walter Scott Woodruff, daughters: Elaine Bell, Annette Kent and Patricia Stout and her husband Robbie, son-in-law: Robert Kent, brother: Alan Woodruff, sister: Mattie Aliene Gainey, grandchildren: Bradley Woodruff, Lacey McBlain and her husband Dustin, Lindsey Berendzen and her husband Chase, Hunter Stout, Morgan Woodruff and Brody Woodruff, great grandchildren: Annie Berendzen and Vivian Berendzen and other relatives and friends.
