SAMMY MARIE SLOAN Sammy Marie Sloan was born in Dallas, Texas on September 28, 1943 to Sammy and Vera Reed Williams. Sammy passed away at her home in Scurry, Texas on September 5, 2014. Sammy was raised and lived all her life in Scurry and graduated from Scurry High School. She owned and operated Sammy's Beauty Shop in Scurry for thirty-four years. Sammy was a member of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Scurry. She loved singing and painting. Sammy is survived by her sons: William Tracy Dean and his wife Angel of Warsaw and Terry Dean and his wife Melissa of Scurry, sister: Vera Lynn Rashell of Lufkin, grandchildren: Diana Flurry Wilemon, Allison Dean, Misty Martin, Kyle Martin and Tracey Smith, great-grandchild: Ryder Wilemon and many other relatives and friends.
