LESTER BUTLER JR, Lester Butler Jr, 82 of Kaufman passed away on May 18, 2014. He was born in Dallas to Les and Elsie Butler. Les was a 2nd generation owner of South Dallas Battery and Electric Co. established in 1931. He was an army veteran at the Korean War. He was a past master of James Ladd Burgess Masonic Lodge no. 1305. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Kaufman. Les carried on the tradition of his father's love of auto racing, both competitive and vintage racing. He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, June, son: Les Butler III and wife Patty of Kaufman, daughter: Cheryl Stephens and husband Tom of Waxahachie, grandchildren: Amy Mollenhour and husband Kevin, Brian Stephens, Sara Butler and fiancé Thiago Motta and Christy Stephens and fiancé Kory Bragg, great-grandchildren: Blake, Kaleb, Logan, Corbin and Anthony Mollenhour, and lifetime friends of over sixty years Bill and June Robinson.
