John Allen Campbell

John Allen Campbell of Scurry, Texas passed away in a Kaufman, Texas hospital on May 4, 2014. John was born on October 10, 1929 to John Franklin Campbell and Dottie Eula Catwell. John was raised in San Diego & graduated as a mechanical engineer. John spent a rewarding career with Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar division, where he worked for 45 years. He was an athlete in high school, a musician, an inventor, later dog breeder. John married Elizabeth & learned to shared her love of standard poodles. After her passing, he continued to raise standard poodles & became a well known dog show judge. 1999 John married Dr. Christina Comty-Nygren, another poodle breeder, in San Diego, California. They moved to Scurry, Texas in 2000 to raise standard poodles together. After Christina's passing in 2007, John continued to care for all the kids (dogs), on his own with dedication & commitment, surrendering himself selflessly to them. John loved the girls at Denny's in Kaufman & the girls loved helping John. He leaves behind his stepson Pierre Comty & wife, Iesha, grandsons Parker & Garett, from Calgary, AB., also Christina's daughter Beatrice.
