MAGGIE MARCIELLE PRUITT Maggie Marcielle Pruitt was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on June 3, 1926 to Milton and Willie Jefcoat Middlebrooks. Marcielle passed away in a Shreveport, Louisiana hospital on January 22, 2014. Marcielle was raised in Bastrop and later moved to Kaufman, Texas in 1975 where she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Kaufman and a legal secretary for forty-five years working for several attorneys in Dallas and Kaufman. While in Kaufman she was a volunteer for the Presbyterian Hospital Auxiliary. On June 18, 1975 Marcielle married James Everett Pruitt in Kaufman. In 2007 Marcielle moved to Mansfield, Louisiana. Her husband, James son Kenneth and son-in law Michael Gary Holdiness preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons: David Carl James and Edward Milton James both of Mansfield, Louisiana, daughters: Linette James Holdiness and her special friend Jerry Kester of Mer Rouge, Louisiana and Melba Pruitt Edwardsen and her husband Jim of Mesquite, brothers: Jerry Don Evans of Mansfield, Louisiana and Douglas Sims Evans of Bastrop, Louisiana, sister: Dean Middlebrooks Landry of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
