MARY FRANCES BABOVEC-KVAPIL Mary Frances Babovec-Kvapil was born on November 7, 1914 in Ennis, Texas. Mary passed away peacefully on January 21, 2014 in Kaufman, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Mary was one of eleven children born to Joe and Annie Novsad Hetmer who immigrated to America from the Czech Republic. She was reared in and around Ellis and Kaufman Counties. On November 15, 1932, she married Albert Louis Babovec in Kaufman. They lived in the Lone Star Community where they farmed and raised livestock to provide for their five children. Mary enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking, playing dominoes with her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. Following the death of her husband Albert she later married Charles Kvapil who also preceded her in death. Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, son Alvin Babovec, grandson Casey Babovec, brothers Joe, John, Emil, Jerry, Frankie, Charlie, Hubert, Albert, and Wesley, and sister Stacy Janicek. She is survived by her sons: Albert Lee Babovec and his wife Betty, Johnny Babovec, Bob Babovec and his wife Etta and daughter Georgia Peavler and her husband Abe, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was a member of the St. Ann's Church in Kaufman.
