Donna Jeanne Mount was born in Arlington, Kansas on December 2, 1920 to Steve and Velna Mattics. She was raised in Arlington and Liberal Kansas. Donna passed away in Forney, Texas on January 18, 2014. Donna was a retired Registered Nurse, receiving her training at St. Elizabeth's mercy Hospital in Hutchinson, Kansas, graduating in 1942. She married Glenn Mount on January 24, 1943. The resided in Fredonia, Kansas and later in Scurry, Texas. Donna worked in hospitals, doctor's office, and finished her nursing career as a school nurse. In addition to raising a family, Donna was active in the church, a Den Mother in Boy Scouts and a member of the Eastern Star. She and Glenn moved to Texas in 1969. After retiring from nursing, she continued working as a data entry clerk and a school crossing guard. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Scurry, Texas. Donna loved her family, always keeping up with all of their activities. Donna's husband preceded her in death on May 11, 1988. She is survived by her sons: Edwin Mount and his wife Marietta of Lawrence, Kansas; Richard Mount and his wife Janet of Ottawa, Kansas; and Howard Mount and his wife Crystal of Scurry, Texas; eight grandchildren (Sarah Musick and husband Bill of Lawrence, Kansas; Scott Mount of Ottawa, Kansas; Jodi Hammon and husband Nathan of Ozawkie, Kansas; Jamie Taliaferro and husband Kevin of Scurry, Texas; Rebecca Munjak and husband Bryan of Clearwater, Florida, Jeffrey Mount and wife Monica of Dallas, Texas; Jacob Mount and wife Shelby of Forney, Texas; and Jared Mount and wife Ashley of Fort Riley, Kansas) and fifteen great-grandchildren (Paige Hammon, Dalton Hammon, Mattie Taliaferro, Katie Taliaferro, Lanie Taliaferro, Curtis Valdivia, Quinn Valdivia, Milo Mount, Alexander Munjak, Jordan Mount, Aaron Mount, Camryn Benefield, Chloe Benefield, Mackenzie Mount, and Reagan Mount).
