Mary Ann Stone

MARY ANN STONE Mary Ann Stone passed away on December 29, 2013 in Malakoff, Texas. She was born in Brahman, Oklahoma to Lee Oscar Butler and Nana Moore Butler. Mary was raised in Oklahoma and later moved to Dallas in 1951. She began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and after over twenty years as an operator she retired in 1988. Mary moved to Mabank after she retired where she was a member of the Eastern Star and the Payne Springs Assembly of God Church. After a whirlwind courtship of twelve days she married James William Stone on January 4, 1951 in Dallas. She is survived by her husband: James of Mabank, sons: James Watson Stone and his wife Sharon of Hutchins, Kenneth Stone and his wife Tori of Pottsboro and Michael Stone of Payne Springs, daughters: Margaret Ann Rutherford of Grand Saline and Katherine Rose and her husband Robin of Scurry, sister: Imogene Archibeque of McAllen, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
