Barbara Chandler Roland

BARBARA CHANDLER ROLAND Barbara Chandler Roland of Kaufman passed away at her home on September 9, 2013. Barbara was born in the Abner Community on July 1, 1939 to Marvin Herbert Harmon and Iva Lee Bulloch. She was raised in Abner and then moved to Kaufman when she was four. Barbara lived in Dallas for twenty years before moving back to Kaufman in 1997. Barbara worked for Republic National Life Insurance in Dallas for fifteen years. She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. Barbara married Wallace Chandler in 1956 and George Roland in 1983 in Kaufman. Her father and husbands Wallace and George and a stepson James Roland preceded Barbara in death. She is survived by her sons: Carroll Chandler of Doyline, Louisiana and Jason Chandler of Kaufman, daughters: Donna Bateman of Kaufman and Judy Roland of Eustace, mother: Iva Lee Harmon of Kaufman, brother: Herbert Harmon of Kaufman, sister: Deloris Allen of Kaufman, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
