Stephen Louis Goen

STEPHEN LOUIS GOEN Stephen Louis Goen was born in Huntsville, Texas on September 28, 1953 to Louis and Laura Higgins Goen. Stephen passed away at his home in Kaufman on August 1, 2013. He was raised in Marathon, Texas and worked for Cummins Southern Plains as a diesel mechanic for twenty years. He joined the U. S. Navy in 1973 where he served for four years. After the service Stephen worked for the Dallas County Schools as a mechanic for seventeen years. He had lived in Kaufman for twenty-five years and was a member of the Crandall First Baptist Church. Stephen married Marthanne Miller in Rylie, Texas on October 6, 1990. Marthanne preceded Stephen in death on April 17, 2013. Stephen is survived by his son: Jeffrey Middour and his wife Liz of Kaufman, daughter: Jennifer Schasteen and her husband Kenneth of Wills Point, grandchildren: Haley Middour, Jacob Middour, Amber Schasteen and Kenny Schasteen, great-grandchildren: Moxi and Matthew Schasteen, mother: Laura Goen of Millsap, brother: Mark Goen of Millsap and many other relatives and friends.
