Floyd Miller was born in Walsh, Colorado on March 4, 1940 to Arthur L. Miller and Eva Mae Dapron. Floyd passed away on July 7, 2013 in Ennis. Floyd was raised in Walsh and moved to Dallas in the early 60's. He and his brothers started their own construction company "Miller Brothers Construction" in Dallas. Floyd moved to Scurry in 1977 where he was an honorary member of the Scurry-Rosser FFA. Floyd was very proud that he made and donated a plaque to the Alpha Zeta Agricultural Honor Fraternity at Texas A & M University. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Barbara Ann Floyd married Shirley Jean Hill in Clayton, New Mexico on July 31, 2006. He is survived by his wife: Shirley of Scurry, sons: David Miller and his wife Allison of Seagoville, Gary Miller and his wife Laura and Duane Miller and his wife Sandy of Scurry and Arthur Miller and his wife Wendy of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, daughters: Laurie Macina and her husband Mark and Kellie Rogers of Austin, brothers: Bill Miller and Shorty Miller of Walsh, CO, sister: Darlene Thomas of Longview, grandchildren: Jason Miller, Carolyn Miller, Rebecca Miller, Lauren Lee, Cammi Selby, Gillian Macina and Nathan Macina.
