Linda Jean Donawho

May 1, 1943 — May 3, 2013

LINDA JEAN DONAWHO Linda Jean Donawho, 70, passed away May 3, 2013 in Kaufman. Linda was born to James D. and Marie Blythe May 1st, 1943 in Styx and was a member of Victory Church in Scurry. Linda married Melvin Stanley Donawho in Dallas no November 10, 1962. To this marriage two children were born: Kyle Stanley Donawho and Michael Lane Donawho. Linda was preceded in death by her husband M. Stanley Donawho, father James D. Blythe and sister Nelda Jane Roberts. Survived by sons: Kyle Stanley Donawho and wife, Florence of Pipe Creek, TX and Michael Lane Donawho of Elmo, grandchildren: Brittany Michelle and husband Dan Shields, Amanda Marie Donawho, Lacie Nicole Smith, Emily Rose and husband Mathew Snyder and Janine Katherine Donawho, great-grandchildren: Blaze and Jaxson Scheid, sister: Sharon Elaine Burnett of Kemp, mother: Nancy Marie Blythe of Corsicana. Who April 29, 2013 celebrated her 90th birthday. Linda served in the insurance industry for forty-one years until she retired in 2003. She was a forward thinking and very innovative entrepreneur far ahead of her time. As she followed in her mother's footsteps, which had also served in the insurance industry for fifty-eight years, Linda sought nothing less than excellence in all she set out to accomplish. Known for her organizational skills, she helped build many of the county mutual companies in Texas, during the seventies. The irony is that many years later, after starting and successfully building a company of her own, creating jobs for more than forty families, the State of Texas contracted her to audit and dismantle many of the companies she had helped to organize and build previously. Additionally, she successfully established the first (24) hour Motor Vehicle Report Delivery System known by the state of Texas, when so many said such a task could not be accomplished. She certainly was a true innovator who refused to stop until she had impacted the industry forever. In the end, in spite of all of her accomplishments, all she really wanted is for everyone to know the one truth that she came to understand at the age of 46. That TRUTH was simply, that Jesus was the savior that paid the price for all to enjoy eternal life which allowed her to know the love and the peace that came through a personal relationship with him. She wanted everyone to understand that they had been created for the purpose of understanding that God loves all of us and that there is nothing we can do to make him love us more or less. This is the reason he gave his son Jesus as the redeeming sacrifice for all of us we can know him. Linda was a dear loving daughter honoring her ninety year old mother, as well as, was a Loving Mother to her two sons and daughter-in-laws and was a loving grandmother to her five granddaughters and two great-grandsons. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, who will remember her for the unconditional love and generosity that she showed for so many. The family would like to express great appreciation to those family and friends that have loved and supported them.
