Thurman Odell Morrow was born in Dallas on February 18, 1926 to Arlie Thurman Morrow and Telie Gillespie Morrow. Odell passed away at home in Peeltown on March 9, 2013. A lifelong resident of Peeltown, Odell attended Liberty School through the 9th grade and graduated from Kaufman High School in 1943. Odell served in the Pacific during WWII as a Navy medical corpsman, where he was part of several beach landings and repatriation of allied prisoners from Japan. Odell married Evelynne Sue Hammack in Rockwall on November 19, 1948, He was a farmer-rancher until late 2011. He was a route driver for Reliance Gas for over twelve years before going to work for TxDot as an inspector. Retired for over 25 years, Odell attended Memorial Baptist Church in Peeltown and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 52 years. He is survived by Sue, his wife of 64 years, his daughter Rebecca Morrow, son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Debra Morrow, all of Peeltown. Grandsons Bradley Morrow, stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC and Bryan Odell (BO) Morrow.
