Frederick Stanley Nowiski

July 5, 1943 — February 27, 2013

Frederick Stanley Nowiski Frederick Stanley Nowiski passed into God's hands on February 27, 2013. His loving wife, Cinda Nowiski, was by his side; as was his devoted family during his last days. Fred was born on July 5, 1943, in Rome, New York. He lived there throughout his childhood. After graduating high school, he joined the Army and served in Korea from 1963-1965. After completing his tour of duty, he was stationed at Fort Hood, which is what brought him to Texas. He settled in the Dallas area where he was a hair stylist. He later moved to Whitehouse, Texas where he spent many years as a custom home builder. Fred met Cinda Hughes Upchurch in early 1977 and married her on October 29th later that year. They lived together in Whitehouse for many years. In 1990 they moved to Seagoville where Fred did carpentry work in and around the Dallas area. They moved to Combine in 1993 and lived there until his passing. Left to cherish his life's memories, Fred is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cinda Nowiski. He will be remembered and thought of often by step-children Jerri Upchurch Beal and Becky Upchurch Bates; both of Crandall as well as Harvey Stanley "Buddy" Upchurch Jr. of Combine. "Pa" will be greatly missed by grandchildren, Chelsea Beal and Kristen Ashcraft of Dallas; Brandon, Blake and Austin Bates of Crandall; as well as Hope Upchurch of College Station and Rowdy Upchurch of Elkhart, TX. He also leaves two great-granddaughters that will be told many stories of their Pa. He will also be remembered by several aunts, uncles and many cousins. He leaves behind daughters Laura Catherine Jeffries of Allen, TX and Tekla Ann Staples of Tyler, TX. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Lillian Nowiski of Rome, NY.
