Vernon Quinton Thompson

VERNON QUINTON THOMPSON Vernon Quinton Thompson was born in the Rand Community on October 27, 1921 to John Frank Thomson and Edna Massingill. Vernon passed away in Kaufman on February 22, 2013. Vernon was raised in the Rand Community and then joined the U. S. Navy and served in World War II. After, the war Vernon started working for the Ford Motor Company in Dallas and worked there for thirty-three years before retiring in 1977. On December 13, 1943 Vernon married Kelcie Miller in Terrell. She preceded Vernon in death on February 6, 2006. Two grandchildren Abbie and Cory also preceded Vernon in death. He is survived by his son: Barry Thompson and his wife Sharon of Kaufman and many other relatives and friends.
