Ellis Ritchie Hunter

ELLIS RITCHIE HUNTER Ellis Ritchie "Puddin" Hunter was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 3, 1954 to James Glendon Hunter and Jesselynn Iris Ritchie. Ellis passed away in a Dallas, Texas hospital on February 20, 2013. He moved to Kaufman, Texas in 1974. Ellis worked twenty-three years for the Dallas Independant School District as Director of Maintenance Services and retired in 1999. He was a member of the Dallas Utilities Bass Club and in high school and college he loved to bull ride. Ellis is survived by his daughters: Crystal Ewing of Kaufman and Kelley Wilson of Forney, grandchildren: Hannah Ewing, Heather Ewing, Madelyn Wilson and Jacob Wilson, mother: Jesselynn Hunter of Hondo, brothers: Montie Hunter of Devine and Laurence Hunter of San Antonio, sister: Iris Schuh of LaCoste, best friend and former wife: Mary Gibson of Balch Springs and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be the American Cancer Society.
