Ruth Carolyn Nye

Ruth Carolyn Nye was born in Saltillo, Texas on January 22, 1919 to Jefferson Spencer Veazey and Addie Louise Hicks. Ruth passed away at her home in Kaufman on January 14, 2013. Ruth was raised in Olney, Texas and graduated from Olney High School. Later Ruth settled in Borger, Texas and then to Pampa. She moved to Dallas in 1964 and worked for Bond's Clothing for twenty years. Ruth moved to Kaufman in 2007 where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kaufman. On July 4, 1941 Ruth married Joseph R. Nye in Olney and Joseph preceded her in death on June 1, 1986. Ruth is survived by her son: Joseph Glen Nye and his wife Lois of Midland, daughters: Joan Carol Stapp and her husband Carl of Kaufman and Jenny Sunderlin and her husband Norman of Kaufman, grandchildren: Whitney Penn and her husband Kyle, Tye Sunderlin and his wife Krista, Lisa Rozell and her husband Daniel and Melissa Tidwell Sullivan and her husband Derek, great-grandchildren: James Dylan Smart, Trevor Rathbun, Brennon Smart, Addison Rozell, Trenton Sullivan, Layklen Sunderlin and Ally Sunderlin and many other relatives.
