Otho Gifton Lindsey

OTHO GIFTON LINDSEY JR. Otho Gifton Lindsey Jr. was born in Mabank, Texas on February 16, 1934 to Otho Gifton Lindsey Sr. and Annie Irene Darr. Gifton passed away in a Dallas, Texas hospital on November 22, 2012. He was raised in Mabank and Mesquite graduating from Mabank High School in 1952. Gifton moved to Dallas where he worked for Austin Steel Bros. Later he moved to Balch Springs and then to Kemp in 1999. When Gifton moved to Kemp he started his on welding and air conditional business. Gifton was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mesquite where is served as a deacon. He was also a member of the local sheet metal union. On July 31, 1952 Gifton married Jan Ovetta Guess in Rockwall, Texas. A brother Joe Darr Lindsey preceded him in death. Gifton is survived by his wife: Jan of Kemp, sons: Harris Gifton Lindsey of Floresville and Joe Charles Lindsey of Sache, daughters: Karen Janiece Hilgenfeld of Forney and Janet Ysleta House of Scurry, brothers: Charles Gilbert Lindsey of Minnesota and Donald Ray Lindsey of Mount Vernon, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
