Robert Burton Young

ROBERT BURTON YOUNG Robert Burton Young of Kaufman passed away at his home on November 22, 2012. Robert was born in Kaufman on August 9, 1933 to Jodie and Maud Elizabeth Burton Young. Robert was raised in Kaufman and graduated from Kaufman High School in 1952. He entered the U. S. Army in 1955 and after the service Robert came back to Kaufman where he lived the rest of his life. On November 23, 1960 Robert married Margaret Ann Green in Lancaster, Texas. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation in 1983 after thirty years of service. Robert was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Kaufman, the American Legion and the VFW both in Kaufman. He is survived by his wife: Margaret of Kaufman, son: Robert Wayne Young and his wife Pam of Gun Barrel City, daughter: Desiree Ann Pool and her husband Brian of Kaufman, brothers: Jess Benton Young of Duncanville and Walter Davenport Young of Hideaway, sister: Mary Frances Nalls of Kaufman, grandchildren: Matthew Lalumia, Tiffani Followwell, Shelby Young, Dawlton Young, Brianne Pool and Brindan Pool, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
