James Arley Rogillio James was_bomon July 13, 1927 in Pickton, Texas and for the past 27 years has lived in Kaufman County. On October 2,2012 he joined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Lois Rogillio, his brother, Howard Rogillio, and his beloved son John Patrick Rogillio. James and his wife of 65 years, Josephine Ramsey Rogillio, raised seven children. He is survived by Josephine Rogillio, his sons Tony Rogillio and , wife Laurette, and Gerald Rogillio; his daughters Judy Mayes and husband Lynn, Bettye Boyd and husband Tim, Martha Putnam and husband Frank, and Susan Rhyne and husband Willie. He is also survived by his sister Sue Ryan. Also left to cherish his wonderful memories are 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He served in the Army during World War II and received a medical discharge. James lived most of his life in the Dallas area and worked for Austin Paving Company. While living in Houston for 25 years he worked for Waukesha- Pearce Industries and Fogle Equipment Company. He was a self-taught diesel mechanic who was often asked to serve as an expert witness in court cases involving heavy road equipment. He retired from the City of Dallas, Equipment Services Department in 1994. For the past 18 years he had an acreage mowing business in Kaufman. Nothing was more important to him than his love of God and his family. He enjoyed horses and trail rides. He loved being around people and never met a stranger.
