Weldon Lester Speights

WELDON LESTER SPEIGHTS Weldon Lester Speights was born in Royse City, Texas on May 1, 1932 to William Nathan Speights and Jesse Gallaway. Weldon passed away in Rockwall, Texas on September 23, 2012. Weldon was raised in Royse City and later joined the U. S Navy. He moved to Dallas in 1970 and then to Forney in 1995. Weldon worked thirty years for Forney Engineers in Carrollton, Texas and retired in 2003. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Temple in Dallas. On June 6, 1970 Weldon married Helen Faye McKethan in Rockwall, Texas. Weldon is survived by his wife: Helen of Forney, daughters: Debra Cortinas and her husband Raymond, Peggy Crawford and her husband Deryl, Jeanette Mitchell and her husband Gary and Patti Fellers and her husband Jason, brother: George Speights and his wife Betty, sister: Dorothy Delaney, grandchildren: Raymond Cortinas Jr., Robert and Andrea Cortinas, Robin Cortinas, Scott Rassman, Josh Mitchell, Casey and Caroline Allison, Jenny Mitchell, Chad Allison, Chelsea Fellers and Sarah Fellers, great-grandchildren: Daniella Cortinas, Olivia Rassman, Brooklyn Allison, Samantha Rassman, Kailyn Allison, Sophie Cortinas and Jacob Rassman and nieces nephews and other relatives.
