Carroll Dale Blake

CARROLL DALE BLAKE Carroll Dale Blake was born in Nocona, Texas on May 1, 1937 to Lewis L. Blake and Hattie Lorene Haggerton. Carroll passed away in Lubbock, Texas on September 17, 2012. Carroll graduated form Wichita Falls High School and then graduated form Texas Tech University in 1960. Carroll was a store manager for Montgomery Ward and then later began working for the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas. Carroll worked for several banks in the Dallas area, Mercantile Bank, First State Bank of McKinney, first State Bank of Crandall and First National Bank in Kaufman. Carroll owned and operated the U. S. Automobile Corporation in Mesquite before retiring in 2004. He moved back to Lubbock in 2008. Carroll was a member of the Fraternity Alpha Tau Omega, Red Raider Club and the Century Club of Tech Alumni Association. On July 5, 1958 Carroll married Mary Ann Crawford in Kaufman, Texas at the Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Mary Ann of Lubbock, sons: John Blake of Ruidoso, New Mexico and William Blake of Kaufman, daughter: Beverly Blake Byrne of Lubbock, sister: Barbara Marshall of Austin, grandchildren: Micah Blake, Melissa Blake Boyer, Dani Carroll Blake, Will Blake and Blake Byrne and many other relatives and friends.
