Mary Sue Rutherford

MARY SUE RUTHERFORD Mary Sue Rutherford of Garland passed away in Kaufman, Texas on September 15, 20912. Mary was born in Roellen, Tennessee on June 27, 1922 to Thomas Wilcox and Emma Lou Notgrass. Mary was raised in Notgrass and then later moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she worked at a defense munitions plant. Mary later moved to Dallas, Texas in 1955 where she worked for the telephone company as a telephone operator. After thirty years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company Mary retired in 1982. She moved to Kaufman, Texas in 1996 from Terrell, Texas. Mary was a member of the Rodgers Baptist church in Garland. Mary married Hollway Dee Power in 1956 and after his death in 1969 she married Claude Rutherford in 1985 and he passed away in 1993. Mary is survived by her son: Thomas Power of Garland and several other relatives and friends.
