John Lee Hodges

JOHN LEE HODGES John Lee Hodges was born in Ravenna, Texas on January 1, 1924 to John and Nannie Floyd Hodges. John passed away in Kaufman on September 17, 2012. He was raised in Ravenna and graduated from Bonham, Texas High School. John then graduated from Wayland Baptist College in Plainview, Texas. In 1960 John went to work for Baylor Dental College in Dallas and after twenty-eight years he retired as Vice President of Finance in 1988. John was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kaufman. John was preceded in death by his first wife Kathryn McDonald on January 13, 2004 and a son Floyd Hodges in 1973. On June 27, 2004 John married Ora Nell Brownlow. He is survived by his wife: Ora Nell of Kaufman, sons: Gary Hodges of Coppell and David Hodges of Austin, daughters: Susan Mikeska of Forney and Kathy Nutting of Midlothian, stepdaughters: Linda Miller of San Antonio, Debra Snelus of Kaufman and Julie Sweet of Crandall, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
