Aleta Marie Shafer

Aleta Marie Shafer was born in Carrollton, Texas on February 20, 1928 to James Lemual Cromer and Jewell Smith. Aleta passed away in Kemp, Texas on August 26, 2012. Aleta was raised in Carrollton where she and her husband owned and operated Carrollton Motor Supply for fifteen years. She moved to the Becker community in the late seventy's where she was a member of the Becker United Methodist Church. Aleta was also a member of the Eastern Star. On June 28, 1947 Aleta married Billy Jack Shafer in Carrollton. Her son Billy Jack Shafer Jr. preceded Aleta in death in February of 2008. Aleta is survived by her husband: Jack of Kemp, son: Bobby Shafer of Kemp, grandson: Bill Shafer of Carrollton, brother: Wayne Cromer of Fort Worth and many other relatives and friends.
