ELSIE KAY NICHOLS Elsie Kay Nichols was born in Dodge City, Kansas on May 27, 1950 to Earl Raymond Bales and Elsie Marlene Commander. Kay passed away at her home in Mesquite on July 29, 2012. Kay was raised in Dodge City and then moved to Oklahoma and then to Lubbock in 1968. Later Kay lived in Houston for seven years and then Kaufman for fifteen years. She moved to Mesquite in 2012. Kay was a member of the New Life Tabernacle in Lubbock. On April 16, 1994 Kay married Larry Joe Nichols in Combine, Texas. Kay is survived by her husband: Larry of Mesquite, sons: Tommy H. Walden Jr. of Clovis, New Mexico and Michael Walden of Corsicana, daughters: Melissa Hurley of North Augusta, South Carolina and Melody Ruth Wyatt of Austin, mother: Elsie Marlene Rowson of Ardmore, Oklahoma, brothers: Earl Bales of Healdon, Oklahoma, Harry Bales of Montana, Tom Bales of Madil, Oklahoma, Sky Bales of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Ron Bales of Ardmore, Oklahoma, sisters: Nancy Bales of Springdale, Arkansas and Mary Tibedo of Lakeland, Florida, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
