Ray Johnson

RAY "BUD" JOHNSON Ray "Bud" Johnson was born in Monroe County, Mississippi on September 22, 1940 to John Tigle Johnson and Orene Towery. Bud passed away in a Dallas hospital on June 4, 2012. Bud was raised in Hamilton, Alabama and moved to Dallas when he was sixteen. He enlisted in the Texas National Guard and served for six years. Bud was a crane operator in Dallas for a construction company. He worked for Bratton Steel Company in Dallas and a past board member of the Kaufman Independent School District. Bud ran the Lions Club baseball program for several years and was also an umpire. Bud was a member of the Kaufman First Baptist Church. He married Barbara Ann Patridge in Dallas, Texas. Bud was preceded in death by a son Michael Johnson and is survived by his wife: Barbara Johnson of Kaufman, son: Jeff Johnson of Garland, Jill Johnson-Warren of Kaufman, a brother, grandchildren: Kayla Owen, Victoria Johnson, Ayshia Johnson, Xavier Johnson and Kenle Warren, great-grandchild: Steelie Whitley and many other relatives and friends.
