Ralph Velton Burns

RALPH VELTON BURNS Ralph Velton Burns was born in Henderson, Texas on December 26, 2010 to Stephen and Carrie Dunn Burns. Ralph was raised all over East Texas. He later joined the U. S. Navy in 1942 serving in World War II and servicing on the battleship Nevada. He was honorable discharged in 1945. Ralph then began working for the U. S. Postal service and retired from the postal service in 1974. Ralph later moved to Kaufman in 1994. He married Maude Ellen Sheldon on September 23, 1944 in Boston, Massachusetts. He wife preceded him in death on November 4, 1998. Ralph is survived by his son: Ralph Burns and his wife Robin of Dallas, daughters: Maude Ellen Burns of Mesquite and Linda Susan Mott and her husband James of Kaufman, sister: Carrie Belle Moon of Kilgore, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
