Lorraine Hess McKnight Frierson was born to Alice and Chauncey McKnight April 4, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She attended Tulsa schools and was a 1945 graduate of Will Rogers High School followed by attendance at Tulsa University. She married Roy Elwood Frierson in 1953 where they made their home until 1963 when, with their four children, they moved from Tulsa to Dallas at which time she transferred her membership to Park Cities Baptist Church. She also was a founding member and integral part in the North Dallas Antique Club for over 40 years. She treasured her family heritage and was a proud member of the First Families of Oklahoma, always considered herself an Okie , as well as an active 55 year member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. In 1980 when Lorraine and Roy relocated to Kaufman, she become involved with her new community joining the Clover Club, 1st Baptist Church, Friends of the Library, a local bridge club, along with annual events supporting the Town Square for the holidays and hosting Civil War re-enactments at their farm. She was embraced by her Lord May 27, 2009. She is survived a son: James Roy Frierson and his wife Karon of Kaufman, daughters: Deborah Wilhite and her husband John of Red Oak, Alice Ann Bell and her husband Ken of Mansfield and Diane Lorraine Weyer and her husband Wayne of Euless, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
