Barbara Ann McKenzie

BARBARA ANN McKENZIE Barbara Ann McKenzie was born in Kemp, Texas on February 17, 1939 to Byron and Julia Haley Blythe. Barbara passed away in Kaufman, Texas on December 26, 2008. Barbara was raised in Kemp and then moved to Dallas for a short time before moving back to the Lively area in 1964. She worked for Prudential Insurance Company for twenty-eight years and then worked for seven years for Travelers before retiring. Barbara was a member of the Grays Prairie Missionary Baptist Church. On December 10, 1957 Barbara married James Waymon McKenzie in Dallas, Texas. Barbara is survived by her husband James Waymon of Kemp, sons: Jimmy McKenzie and his wife Theresa Dewberry of Kaufman and Jeremy McKenzie and his wife Betty of Kemp, daughters: Nicki Wilhite and her husband Mike of Combine and Denise Cantu of Styx, grandchildren: Jeff West Jr., Justin West, PFC William McKenzie, Cheyenna Wilhite, April Dewberry and Angie Dewberry and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held Sunday December 28, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ in Styx.
