Edith Mae Thompson was born in Cedar Hill, Texas on July 12, 1922 to Robert Edgar King and Fannie Wallen. Edith passed away in Kaufman, Texas on January 19, 2011. Edith was raised in Cedar Hill and later moved to McKinney in 1957. She moved to Dallas in 1961 and then to Scurry in 2000. Edith worked for Safeway for eighteen years in Duncanville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedar Hill. Her husband Leon Emory Thompson preceded her in death on August 19, 1961. Edith is survived by her sons: William Wayne Bosher of Waxahachie and Larry Thomas Bosher of Scurry, daughter: Elizabeth Mae Maggard of Whitney, sister: Irma Holland of Phoenix, Arizona, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
