Archie Newton Blanton, Jr.

Archie Newton Blanton Jr. was born in Warsaw, Texas on June 21, 1928 to Archie Newton Blanton and Maggie Opal Simmerely. Archie passed away at his home in the Stubbs Community on February 2, 2012. Archie was raised in the Warsaw Community and then served in the U. S. Navy. After, the service Archie moved back to the Warsaw Community until 1967 when he moved to Kaufman. He moved to the Stubbs Community in 1976. Archie retired from the construction business in 1990 where he was a crane operator and dragline operator. He was a member of the Church of Christ. On February 7, 1948 Archie married Mary Edna Pritchett in Crandall, Texas. Archie is survived by his wife: Mary of Kemp, sons: Archie Blanton III & his wife Molly of Talty and John Michael Blanton & his wife Jill of Gun Barrel City, daughter: Mary Ann Blanton of Richardson, sister: Ina Sue Bradshaw of Wichita Falls, grandchildren: Trisha Scarborough, Traci Mitchell, Deniece Frideley, Amanda Rollins, Zach Rollins, John Blanton Jr. and Maggie Blanton, seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
