Jimmie Ray Bohanon

Jimmie Ray Bohanon was born Broken Bow, Oklahoma on February 7, 1930 to Elmer Bohanon and Sena Mae Pettyjhon. Jimmie passed away in a Kaufman hospital on July 26, 2010. Jimmie was raised in Oklahoma and later moved to Dallas. He entered the U. S. Navy where he served his country for twenty years. In 1979 Jimmie moved to Kaufman where he worked for the Kaufman Independent School District as a bus driver. Jimmie was a member of the Rock Hill Full Gospel Church. Jimmie married Kattie Belle Dickeson in Dallas, Texas on June 24, 2006. Jimmie was preceded in death by a son Randy and a daughter Penny. He is survived by his wife: Kattie of Scurry, sons: Mike Bohanon of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Ray Keith Bohanon of Dallas, Jeffery Bohanon of Kaufman, Kem Bohanon of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Kelly Bohanon of Scurry and Sean Bohanon of Mesquite, daughters: Pam Holder of Denton and Peggy Bohanon of Emory, stepsons: Robert Earl Boren of Dallas and Buddy Monroe Boren of Scurry, stepdaughters: Teresa Kathleen Boren of Dallas and Tammy Lyn Lopez of Fort Worth, brothers: Dan Bohanon of Reno, Nevada, Jerry Bohanon of Garland, James Bohanon of Phoenix, Arizona, and Vernon Lee Bohanon of California, sister: Ann Holt of Lancaster, California, eighteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
