Manuel Soriano Rivero

Dr. Manuel Soriano Rivero passed away in a Dallas hospital on February 25, 2011. Dr. Manuel was born April 28, 1946 in Bulacan, Philippines. He was raised in the Philippines and received his medical degree from Far Eastern University in 1969. Dr. M moved to the United States in 1971 and did his internship in New Jersey. He did his residency and fellowship in Brooklyn, New York at Brooklyn Hospital. Dr. M moved to Kaufman in 1979 to open his own family medical practice. He was a member of Saint Ann Catholic Church. Dr. M was the past president of North Texas Association of Philippine Physicians, member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Kaufman County Medical Society, Knights of Columbus, past president of the Philippine Republic Day Celebration Inc., past president of FEU Alumni and many other associations. On June 6, 1971 Manuel Rivero married Angelina Abello in Manila, Philippines. Dr. M is survived by his wife: Dr. Angelina Rivero of Kaufman, son: Emmanuel Joel Rivero of Dallas, daughters: Pamela Rose Rivero of Boston, Massachusetts, Arlene Jean Rivero of Lewisville and Samantha Leigh Rivero of Austin, sisters: Milagros Leyva and Rosario Estrada both of Philippines and many other relatives and friends.
