Lester Flatt

Lester Flatt was born in Wood County, Texas on May 17, 1924 to Luther and Maude Brasher Flatt. Lester passed away at his home in the Blackjack Community on October 15, 2011, Lester was raised in Wood County and later moved to Dallas and then entered the U. S. Navy Merchant Marines during World War II. After the service Lester moved back to Dallas where he was a master electrician in the Dallas area. Lester moved to Grapevine where he lived most of his life before moving the Blackjack Community in 1979. Lester was a member of the IBEW Union. Lester is survived by his sister: Robbie Nell Frazier, nephews: Jerry Lee Flatt and Kenneth Flatt, nieces: Marsha Goodman, Linda Oliver and Brenda Everett, sister-in-law: Faye Flatt, his right arm: Beverly Menning and many other relatives and friends.
